Sushi Making Time

Saturday, November 7, 2009
I've been on a sushi kick for some time now and have been itching to learn how to make it myself. Well, after a week of having nothing better to do, I spent some time researching it online. The process is not to difficult, it's actually pretty straightforward. I did realize how much of an art this really is, and I can appreciate more what the sushi chefs are doing. Here are some pictures of my sushi making.

The Nori, or seaweed paper, that you put the rice on.

Avocado and cucumber.

Crab, avocado, and cucumber.

Crab, tuna, avocado, and cucumber.

This was a lot of fun and my sushi came out pretty good for my first try. It is pretty difficult to get everything to come out perfect. I am no where near opening up my own restaurant...
